Saturday, Sept. 28th @ 10:30 a.m.

Location: 627 Route 1, York, Maine (in the Eldredge Building)

This is the 4th time Ed Webster is doing a presentation at the Atlantic Design Center. Ed is an author and photographer and has experienced most of the major rock climbing areas in the United States and Europe as well as Mt. Everest. He survived the impossible when he climbed Mt. Everest’s most dangerous and isolated side – never before tried – which he did without oxygen bottles, radios or Sherpas.

This time he will make Antactica come alive!

He went to Antarctica twice in 2018 as a Polar History Lecturer on adventure cruise ships and will return again in November 2019.

In this presentation, Webster recounts the historic voyages and eventual discovery of Antartica by 18th, 19th and 20th-century explorers. Combining original archival photographs, pictures by scientific researchers, wildlife videos and his own modern images really and truly will make Antarctica Come Alive!

Don’t miss this opportunity to listen to a most inspiring, engaging and captivating presenter.
