About the Seminar

This presentation will dive deeper into MMoME’s work, the species they respond to (with an emphasis on seals), and marine mammal health in the Gulf of Maine. MMoME is a non-profit organization based in Brunswick, Maine.

They are dedicated to marine mammal and sea turtle response care, research, and education.

About the Presenter

Lexi Wright has been with MMoME since 2020. She is part of the MMoME  24/7 hotline team working with rescue and stranded animals. Lexi also serves as MMoME’s  Community Engagement Coordinator. Growing up on the Coast of Maine, and having worked on a lobster boat as a young person, Lexi has always appreciated marine life and opportunities to work on the water. As a graduate of the College of the Atlantic where she focused on Marine Biology, Lexi developed a special interest in marine mammals. Her interests in marine life have even taken her to the Caribbean to research coral reefs. As a natural fit within Marine Mammals of Maine, Lexi can feed her passion for marine life through education and outreach.

Light refreshments will be served.
